This show takes place during lunch hour, but this is not your typical peanut butter and jelly. Two disciples survey people about their faith in Chicago’s Millennium Park one afternoon. The highlights (and low-lights) of these talks were captured for all to hear.These conversations were recorded on a Sanyo digital voice recorder and people’s answers were tracked in the form of a survey of faith.

Thirty people were spoken to in forty minutes and heard a wide ranges of responses. What if someone asked you to define who God is? Find out what others off the street say, and ask yourself, “Are you prepared?”

The numerical results of this May 2007 Survey of Faith in Chicago follow:
Of the thirty people we approached in the survey…

Three people acknowledged that Jesus is God and the only way to get to heaven is through him.
Seven people disagreed with that statement.
Five people were unable to answer due to a language barrier.
Fifteen people declined to participate in the survey, with a range of rejections including, “No thank you,” and, “Go away!” as well as, “Can’t do it. We’re flying a kite.”

In our modern day skit of Noah’s ark, this low budget slapstick version has less animals but more laughs. It’s our most physical Yap Sheep ever, with muscles on top of muscles, and giggles on top of that. The Old Testament story from Genesis 6-9 is given new life and strives to leave listeners happy and cheerful all day long.

Everyday men and women that we just met on the street are surveyed to answer this question: “What happens to people who don’t know about Jesus?” We received a variety of responses in this Christian survey, ranging from deeply faithful to deeply in need of help. To explore this topic in more detail, read the article “What about People Who Never Heard of Jesus?”

Christian Survey Data Results

34 people in Chicago’s Millennium Park were approached on March 13, 2007 and were asked to talk about Jesus.
28 people out of 34 did not want to discuss Jesus with us. 2 of those rejections are recorded on the podcast.
6 people out of 34 had something to say about Jesus (and their response is recorded on the podcast).
5 people acknowledged that the only way to get to heaven is through Jesus.
