Mark Series part 21: Proclaim Peace to the Nations – Outline

We have followed Jesus throughout the book of Mark: from the time he began to preach “Repent for the kingdom of heaven is near”, to the calling of his disciples to follow him and have their own ministry in his name, to the time he began to predict his own death. Now, in Mark 11, we are on the brink of the passion week and we see Jesus riding into Jerusalem amidst the praise of many voices shouting “Hosanna”. Mark Series part 20: Up, Down and Up Again – Outline

In life you’re going to be brought down at times. The call is to get back up again.

Mark 10:1
- Jesus had a heart to teach people what is right.
- Jesus would teach a general lesson in public, yet teach the full meaning to those who really want to know (his disciples).
- Vs 5. Look at the hard heart. When you have a hard heart, you test Jesus, like the Pharisees.

Mark 10:13
- Soft heart. Jesus and the children.

Mark Series part 19: Salt and Pepper – Outline

In Mark 9:50 Jesus said, “Salt is good, but if it loses its saltiness, how can you make it salty again? Have salt in yourselves, and be at peace with each other.” Have you ever had food without any salt in it? It doesn’t really taste like much. So we can probably all agree that salt is good! But Jesus probably wasn’t thinking about potato chips when he said this. So what does it mean spiritually to have salt in yourselves?!

Main Points:
1. Salt is Good
2. Pepper is Good, Too
