Mark 4:1-34

• Jesus was teaching about the Kingdom of God through parables.
• A parable is a story from ordinary life meant to illustrate a spiritual or moral truth. (It usually had one main point and was not meant to be true on every level.)
• Where parables meant to clarify or confuse? YES!
• Jesus said that the secret of the Kingdom had been given to the disciples. Did Jesus want to keep the Kingdom a secret so that some would not be forgiven? No! He proclaimed the Kingdom to all and wanted all to be forgiven, but only those with faith would accept it!
