One Greater than The Temple – Outline

Our guest speaker, Raja Rajan leads the Church in Chennai, India. Before becoming a Christian, he worshipped many gods. Now he is happy to share with us his convictions and thoughts about the One true God.

Raja Rajan Preaches

1) Jesus is always the only way.
- Matthew 12:1-8 If you are not a Christian, ask yourself: Do you know the background of the god(s) you worship? Do you know the scriptures of the god(s) you worship? Have you seen a true Christian?
- If you are a Christian, ask yourself: How much passion do you have to know the scriptures? Do you want to stay hungry for the Word of God? What “temples” have you built up inside of yourself? We can mistakenly hide in the temples of “hurt,” “experience,” and “secret sins.” Stay open about your struggles and don’t fall for Satan’s schemes.

2) It’s worth the pay to stay.
- Matthew 12:9-14 What would you do if you knew your days were numbered? Would you want to do whatever you must to keep on track and stay faithful? For example, would you sacrifice your high paying job if you knew it was drawing you away from God? Disciples all over the world are making “big” and “little” decisions to be faithful every day.

Thank you, Raja, for sharing your heart and preaching the Word to us (via the internet). I was moved to tears by your words. You helped us to see that Jesus expected the teachers of the Law to be experts – how He used three different passages in His challenge to the Pharisees. Having the same expectation will help me greatly in my outreach to religious people we meet. In Christ, Simon.
