God’s Youth Ministry – Outline
- God calls the zealous to step up and do His will. All people, all ages, all races.
- Jeremiah 1:4-10, 17-19 Jeremiah was called at 13 years old.
Josiah, Mary, Samuel and Timothy were all called in their youth.
- God is calling us to a huge vision. Count the costs to make sure this is the team you want to be on.
1) Dig deep relationships
- Proverbs 18:24 God’s vision for us is to be united in friendship.
- John 13:34 Where are your closest relationships? Are they in the kingdom of God? Our #1 friend needs to be Jesus. Then we need to extend that to each other.
- Acts 4:32 Follow the example of the relationships in the 1st century Church. Deep relationships don’t just come together. They take work and digging deep.
2) Build solid convictions
- Psalm 119:9 Imitate David’s heart for God’s Word. Your convictions need to come from God’s Word. A strong opinion of your own will not get you to heaven.
- A conviction is something you hold to. A deep conviction is something you hold others to.
- 2 Chronicles 16:9 The Lord looks for committed souls to strengthen.
- Ephesians 2:19-20 We need the foundation of the prophets and apostles: God’s Word.
Is the Bible your standard or your buffet? You may be the only Bible some people ever “read.”
- John 14:1-4 Jesus is preparing for us to come to heaven.
- Matthew 28:18-20 How to tell if you are a disciple: A) Were you made into a disciple by another disciple? B) Are you out making other disciples?
God’s plan is for us to be fruitful. If we want something done, we find a way. If we don’t, we find excuses.
- What is God calling you to today?
