All Around the World, Servants of Christ Must Prove Faithful
Servants of Christ Must Prove Faithful – Outline
1 Corinthians 4:1-2 The word servant here means like a house manager or steward. As disciples, this is who we are whether or not the world views us this way. Just as those living in your house know you in a way others don’t, God has entrusted us with secret knowledge of himself.

Contribution
- It takes money to plant churches/ to put people on staff. MALACHI 1:6 talking to earthly authorities/ where do we put our treasures, would your gov. accept less taxes from you if you told them you didn’t want to give as much as they wanted?
- Love God more than your comfort? Are you giving to the Lord your very best? God says “My name will be great among the nations”
- We are the people of the living God.
- Where is all the money going?
Discipling
Discipling the nations begins with discipling on a local level, do you have a plan for every soul around you. We must go after the youth too.
Quote by General John A. Logan in 1868
“If other eyes grow dull, and other hands slack, and other hearts grow cold in the solemn trust ours shall keep it well as long as the light and warmth of life remain.” – What is the trust you’ve vowed to keep with your last breath?
When (not if) other eyes grow dull: Lack of Vision. Every disciple must have a Kingdom vision. What is your vision? What keeps you going? Without vision, the people perish.
Matthew 6:19-22 Our eyes grow dull when we put our treasure in things that don’t last. Put treasure in heaven by thinking about what will matter on your deathbed: whether you have a place in heaven, and who is coming with you. What lights up your eyes (gets you excited)? Is it things of the Kingdom or of the world? If the light within you is darkness: if the best thing in us is earthly treasure, how dark is the darkness within us?
When (not if) other hands slack: Lack of Effort. Every disciple must work hard. Jesus calls us to be fishers of men.
Proverbs 26:13-16 Are you making excuses? Too afraid to fish. Are you tired? Too lazy to fish. Are we critical of those who do fish for men.
2 Thessalonians 2:10-11 Many people want to eat, but they don’t want to work. That’s laziness.
Proverbs 6:6-11 Ants work hard naturally without a commander
Acts 16:6 We are not ants, we’re people. We need leaders. God works through leaders.
When (not if) other hearts grow cold: Lack of Love. We can’t stop loving.
Matthew 24:9-12 What makes love grow cold? An increase of wickedness in your life. Everyday counts: Acts 17:10-12 & 19:8-10
Let’s be faithful servants of Christ and keep the solemn trust that God has entrusted to us… as long as the light and warmth of life remain.
