Love Out Loud – Women’s Day – Outline

So much can hinder us from loving and it usually has to do with pain in our past. In order for us to understand love we’ll look at three different ways to define love. The dictionary definitions of love are very ranging and very confusing and this is how society views love, as all these thing that it is really not. The psychological/biological definitions give us more insight but can’t show us what love truly is.

In 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 we see how God defines love.

It’s not love unless it hurts. Patient in verse 4 means long suffering. Our ability to love is not based on how we respond to favorable treatment, but how we respond to those that don’t love us.

Proverbs 20:5 We need a woman of understanding to draw us out.

Ephesians4:25-32 Be truthful. The hardest thing is to be completely honest about how hurt we are. Don’t sin in your anger.

It’s not love unless it is unconditional. Luke 23:34 – don’t we tend to think someone knew exactly what they were doing when they hurt us?!

It’s not love unless it is out loud! Romans 12:9-21 Love in actions and in truth.
