Supernatural Destination – Outline
Campus students preach the word of God in our youthful and faithful Campus Sunday Service. Many people have come to know Jesus through campus ministry. They are the future leaders.
Ecclesiastes 8:16-17
- Solomon was the wisest man who lived. Knowledge you receive at school can be useful, but it will not give you the saving knowledge of God. Are you going to allow God to change your life?
1 Corinthians 15:1-10
- Five-hundred men saw the resurrected Christ.
1) Supernatural Change
- Paul’s life was impacted by the gospel. He was changed by God’s power. What does life consist of? It’s more than just getting a good job, getting married and having kids. That’s all good, but God shows us that there is so much more to living — knowing God must be the priority. What changes a person’s life? The power of the gospel. Do you feel the power of the gospel right now? Do you believe your life can be different? It can through Jesus. None of us are perfect, but the gospel can change you, your friendships, your marriage and even things you never thought could change.
2) Supernatural Destination
1 Corinthians 15:20-44
- The resurrection of Jesus is of the utmost importance. The faithful will get a spiritual body like Jesus. We will get a new body. Our current bodies will fail on us. But disciples will be part of an incredible resurrection with Jesus. That is our destination. That hope should motivate you. The hope of the resurrection of Jesus Christ must be our hope.
- Why do you work hard? Do you endanger yourself for your faith? That’s what Jesus and Paul did. We must lose our life to save it. When you face trials for Christ, are you motivated by hope in Jesus? Hope in the resurrection must motivate your life. We have a supernatural destination – heaven.
The world tries to teach you that what you see and have is all that there is to life – that’s it. But the Bible teaches us the opposite. We fight with weapons not of this world (2 Corinthians 10:4).
2 Peter 3:1-9
- God wants you to see the spiritual battle. Imagine the flood. Understand that scoffers will mock God’s word. We cannot follow our evil desires. We have to live for Jesus. Don’t put all your hope in what you see around you. You will lose the spiritual battle. God has given the Christians his Holy Spirit. Don’t hold back from God.
2 Peter 3:10-17
- Imagine the home of righteousness: heaven. That is a place to have as your destination. God has patience with you. He gives us many years. But see the spiritual battle now. Show patience for each other like God does. Help people to hope in God. God didn’t strike you down after your first sin — or your second. In the end, righteous judgment will be of God.
- We live in a sinful world. We are part of the problem. It is easy to sin – get a little selfish. We need to look forward to the hope of heaven and repent. All of this earth will pass away, so don’t have your hope in a lost world. We are in a spiritual battle and you can fight in the light with the weapons of God.
- Do you represent God with your life? Don’t hope in your job or your relationships. Live life confident in the resurrection.
