Faith, Fear and the Father - Outline

Raising great kids takes great faith. God knows we have fears but God wants to welcome you into a family.

Romans 8:12-19

God has a lot of children. What is your view of God? Are you angry with God? Don’t be. You can have a relationship with God and call him “Daddy.” God wants to protect you. Do you imitate God as a protector of people’s faith? It takes heart to engage in pain the way God does… To rescue you.

Romans 8:31-39 More than Conquerors
Do you believe in the depth and power of God’s love? God gives us his best. What are you going to do by your faith? Will you give your best to God?

Colossians 1:19-23 Jesus’ Sacrifice Reconciles Us to God

What causes fear? Trust in self. What do you believe in: God, money, your looks? Are you thinking about godly things? How do we not become enemies? Trust and obey God. If you rebel, you become an enemy of God.

God has a standard in his house and it must be obeyed. We must hold to that standard: the Bible. Jesus suffered for his church. Are you willing to deal with your pride to create unity in Christ.

Colossians 1:22-23 God reconciles you if you continue in your faith.

Ephesians 1:18-23
Jesus is the head of the church. He has all authority. Do we believe that? If Jesus isn’t your Lord, you trust in self. See God’s power and authority as hope for your life. The test of our faith is what you do in the bad times. Think the way the Spirit wants you to think. God is involved in everything… all life and growth. This power is available to us, to those who believe. We have to get this fact down; faith in God is a salvation issue.
