About Our Speaker: Andrew Smellie serves as the minister for the Central New York Church of Christ in Syracuse, NY. He graduated from pre-medical program at Cornell University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Human Biology and completed a Masters degree in Health Administration at Cornell before God called him into the ministry. Recently Andrew and his wife Patrique spoke in Portland at a Spiritual Enrichment Weekend on the topic “There Is A God.” Steve Johnson had this to say about the Smellies’ visit:
“Sometimes you just feel like the Lord reaches down and gives you a hug. That’s the best way I can think to describe last weekend with all of the wonderful blessings that came from having the Andrew and Patrique Smellie with us as guest speakers for our Spiritual Enrichment Weekend. The theme was ‘There is a God’ and my intentions in writing at this time are part ‘thank you’ to the Smellies and part “advertising” to anyone who has never had the incredible privilege of Andrew and Patrique visiting with you. The Smellies’ presentation is reminiscent of some of the great apologetics asserted by men like John Clayton or Josh McDowell. But their presentation of the material isn’t just educational, it’s inspirational.”
