Christian Financial Workshop – Outline
How should a disciple of Jesus Christ manage money? What kind of Christian debt is okay, if any? This lesson combines practical wisdom with biblical applications about God and money.
Debt – There is no good or bad debt, it is either wise or unwise.
Without character or conviction, anything can become your Lord.
Romans 13:8 (no outstanding debt)
Job 24:9 (seized for debt)
You never know when tragedy will hit. A deep conviction on debt changes everything.
1 Samuel 22:2 debt = in distress; discontented
Matthew 18:25; 30 unmerciful servant
Genesis 14:17 Abram had a conviction about not taking a gift = no
strings attached
God blesses heart changes! Get a lot of advice.
Goal = pick up, go anywhere, do anything

Dishonest manager was commended for being shrewd (clueless=cannot be shrewd)
You appreciate things more when you work hard for it.
Malachi 3:8-10
Get on a budget so that you can tithe (tithe=10%)
1 Timothy 6:10 – Love of money is the root of all kinds of evil.
Haggai 1:5-6
Pay with checks so that you can track your spending for your records and tax purposes.
