Transformation - Outline

This is a great sermon for everyone, including Christians who have become lukewarm and for those in need of spiritual restoration. It’s incredible when you see someone repent and go from living a life of sin to being transformed to living a life that gives glory to our Father in heaven.

1 Thessalonians 4:1 Living to please God

Ezekiel 37 Valley of dry bones can be transformed. Have hope. Maybe your body is present but your spirit is weak. God can breathe life into you.

2 Thessalonians 1:3 Love can increase. Is your faith increasing? Persecutions will come too.

Transformation will never happen your way. It must be God’s way. Get your pride out of the way.

Acts 9:20 Paul’s conversion. He preaches. Grows more and more powerful. Are you growing more and more powerful in your ability to prove that Jesus is the Christ? If we are not actively seeking to make disciples, you are in sin: sins of omission (James 4:17).

Acts 11:19 Evidence of the grace of God is that more people become Christians.

2 Peter 1:3-9 Given everything you need for life and godliness. Participate in the divine nature of God. Purity. Add to your faith… make every effort. If you are not transforming with increasing godly qualities, you are nearsighted. Ungrateful of the cross.

1 Chronicles
David grew more powerful because God was with him.

2 Timothy 2:14-17 If you don’t avoid godless chatter, you become more and more ungodly.

Hebrews 2 Don’t drift.

Hebrews 10 Hold unswervingly to the faith. Encourage each other daily.

2 Timothy 3:1
List of sins. If you allow a little ungodliness, it will corrupt you.

Philippians 1:27 Conduct yourself in manner worthy of gospel. This will give you courage. The disciples must contend as one man. That’s a sign from God. That will transform you and the lost world.
