The Unsearchable Riches of Christ, part 3 - Outline

Are you so excited about Jesus that you will scream and shout about his unsearchable riches? People scream and shout for joy about all sorts of things (concerts, sports, video games, etc.). How about your joy for Jesus? If this joy is missing in your life, there is something wrong!

Ephesians 3:2-13
- The administration of God’s grace
- God has a plan to get his grace out. It’s through his church.
- We need spiritual leadership, but every member of the church shares the role of being disciples who make disciples who make disciples.

Ephesians 4:17-27
- Paul insists, not suggests what disciples should do.
- Warning about hardened hearts and ignorance: Ignorance of God leads to pride and hardened heart.
- Put on new self. God’s church is not “have it your way at Burger King.” There is an expectation of obedience to King Jesus’ way.
- Beware of anger and money issues. It (and other sin) can give the devil a foothold (worry or greed).
Matthew 28:18-20
- Jesus wrote our mission statement. We don’t need a new one.
- Assembly religion will not administer the grace of God. True disciples walking the walk administer God’s grace.

Luke 16:1-15 Parable of the Shrewd Manager
- Use money to make friends. Use wealth to save souls.
- You are either being wasteful or shrewd.
- Finances are a salvation issue. See the account of the rich young ruler and also Zacchaeus.
- Ask yourself, “How would God spend my money?” It’s a trust in God issue.

Proverbs 3:9
- Give to God financially first. That’s honoring God.

Proverbs 11:28
- Giving to God is a trust issue.

Proverbs 30:7
- Trust in God, not wealth. Otherwise, you and the people you influence will not administer God’s grace. We want as many as possible to know the unsearchable riches of Christ.
