Kingdom Dating Diner – Outline

Do campus and teen students need guidlines to have great Christian dating relationships? You bet. The Bible has many practical lessons that can make youth dating fun, healthy, pure-hearted and spiritual. No one wants a date from hell. Rather, learn how to have a date that is bound for heaven.

2 Corinthians 6:14-18
Dating can be a salvation issue.

Philippians 3:17
Take note of the pattern to follow/imitate in your life

Romans 6:17
Once we were slaves to sin (sin was our master)
We are now free to be slaves to righteousness

Ephesians 5:1-3
There should be NO hint of sexual immorality in our life
Is this how we are living our life?
(Matthew 5:8 – the pure in heart see God)

1 Corinthians 4:17
Timothy was a pattern to show Paul’s life and teaching
(analogy: God gave us Jesus to show pattern)

The Cup of Godly Friendships

John 15:12-17
It costs laying down our whole life
Command is to love each other
Dating is friendship
Friendships are valuable – we need to give up our lives for one another
We need to think: What is this person’s greatest need?
We need to meet the needs in our friendships
Friendship battles loneliness (the world sees radical difference in our dating)
We help each other to overcome weaknesses (2 Corinthians 5)

The Salad of Encouragement

Hebrews 3:12-14
We need to encourage each other

Hebrews 4:14-16
Jesus is the perfect example
We need to imitate Jesus in his overcoming of every temptation
If we find it hard to encourage someone, we are not being like Jesus
Encouraging is protecting and loving

Young women need to date and not be idle

Being a friend of the world is hatred to God

We have a “way out” provided by God

Main Course of Purpose

We need to love one another

We can use dating as an evangalism tool

We need to seek God first to have fun
We need to apply the truth to our lives
We need to date with all of our hearts
