The Miraculous Catch - Outline

John 21:1-11
- The exact number of fish (153) supports the fact that this is an eyewitness account.

John 21:12-14
- Peter (who formerly denied Jesus) is now zealous for Jesus.
- Peter led them fishing. We need to be led.

John 21:15-17
- Sometimes people need to be hurt (v17). Count the cost.
- Peter had godly sorrow (2 Corinthians 7)
- Loving Jesus involves taking care of and reaching out to people.

Ezekiel 34:11-31
- God is the good shepherd. But this takes following him.

John 21:25
- Jesus has compassion. He did many other deeds not recorded.

Matthew 9:35-38
- The compassionate know that the harvest is plentiful. Is this you?
- Workers are few. They’re you.
- No sowing without going (evangelism).
- No reaping without weeping.

Galatians 6:7-10
- Reap what you sow.
- You have the opportunity to be part of God’s miraculous catch.
