How to Fish: Catch, Cut, Clean, Cook

Part 1: Catch ‘em

Mark 1:16-18
- Jesus came to show us how to live (Philippians 2).
- Jesus caught them by connecting with them. He used a fishing analogy.
- A pro fishermen doesn’t delay. Disciples are the hook. God uses us to fish (Matthew 28:18-20).

Part 2: Cut ‘em

Hebrews 4:12-13
- Bible cuts to heart. But if the sword is in its sheath, it’s not as intense.

Isaiah 66:2
- Again the word can shake you up, but for good.

Part 3: Clean ‘em

Acts 2:36-41
- Good news of the gospel starts with bad news: Jesus’ death.
- It must cut you.
- Helping people to repent can be dirty business.

Matthew 3:8
- Must repent

Part 4: Cook ‘em

Proverbs 27:17
- Without the heat of Christian relationships, you’ll never change. Transformation.

Proverbs 27:6
- Wounds from a friend can be trusted. That’s discipling.

Galatians 5:19:21
- Review what sins you need to repent of.
